  • At the beach, splashing around in the water together.
  • Ordering one dessert but with two forks. Or one milkshake but with two straws.
  • Being totally gross and passing a piece of bubblegum between them by way of a kiss.
  • One playfully calling the other by their last name (“Miss/Mr/Mrs ______”), and bonus points if it slips out while they’re in bed one day.
  • One reading to the other – possibly maybe before bed – even though they’re both adults.
  • Commuting to work together and the one riding shotgun (who is not a morning person) sleeping the whole way, while the other drives super carefully.
  • Taking care of each other when one of their phobias strikes, e.g. dealing with the spider/“protecting” the other from the dark, etc.
  • The more outwardly caring one bugging the other about whether they’ve drunk enough water/taken their medications that day/remembered to eat, etc.
  • Fooling around in bed for hours, but not actually doing much. Mostly just chatting and enjoying being close; their conversation interspersed with kisses and touches and playfully flipping the other over so that they end up on bottom.
